Rescue:
A lady who lives in a small village close to the city had noticed a mother cat and her kittens in
the spring. The kittens were rescued and brought to Pet Patrol but she was not able to successfully
rescue the mother cat and finally gave up trying, but that produced a second litter in
the fall. Wanting to save this litter as well, the same woman borrowed our humane trap and
Little Griffin came into our care within a day. He was transferred into a condo like cage and
the humane trap set up again for the rest of the litter. Griffin was not very happy to be by himself
without his mom and without siblings but it didn’t take very long at all for the rest of the litter to
be rescued. The mother cat is very wise to the trap and some trickery will have to be applied
to entice her into the trap. Eventually she will be saved, spayed and assessed for friendliness.
She will be cared for as her kittens have been.
Personality:
Griffin has progressed much quicker than some of his siblings in regards to trusting people
and wanting to be with them. He is quite a playful boy who loves toys of all kinds (catnip mice,
wand toys, balls with bells etc). and chasing his foster siblings. He is a pro at purring, loves
ear rubs and body massages and will smile at you with full contentment. He can be found
napping anywhere but rocking chairs and beds are his current favorites. He knows that he is
handsome and is not shy to show off his glossy black coat – he is hard to resist. Griffin is
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family with a
playmate, and keep him safely indoors.
