Rescue:
Munch and his feline family were born on a property that houses and sells recreational vehicles.
The two ladies that manage the office have looked after these cats for many years. They
are quite passionate about them, and made sure that they were fed twice daily, even on their
days off. Shelter was provided for the cats, year round, that were insulated and had straw in
them to keep the cats warm and dry. The owners of the company are retiring and the property
has been sold and will be redeveloped, and the women wondered what will happen to the
cats? A visiting couple took note of the situation and reached out to Pet Patrol to see if we
could be able to help. They offered to rescued the cats and each day they brought in one or
two cats until they were safely in our care. Although the kitties were not sure of the new people,
they were not aggressive and some quite petable. It wont take long for them to be socialized
as the women had earned their trust.
Personality:
Munch has come a long way in his socializing and his foster mom and dad were very patient
with him. He had never been touched by people before being rescued, but trusted them to be
near and to be fed. Touching was a different story. Over a number of months Munch began to
accept being pet, brushed and eventually would come for the attention. He had bonded
closely with the family dog, which helped with his socializing as well. This handsome boy with
the black velvet like fur is ready to be adopted into his forever home, hopefully with a playmate.
One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
