Rescue:
Chico came from the same a farm property up north as Snowball and Peanut. It was newly
purchased by a couple who were leaving the city and the hustle and bustle for a quieter life.
They were a lovely couple who had had heartache in their lives and just needed to get away
from things. They had three acres of hobby farm with gardens, a small barn and nice a
meagere of animals. There were only about three cats on the property to begin with and the
owners delayed in getting them spayed and neutered, therefore by the next year there were
more cats than they were comfortable with. Realizing something had to be done, the kittens
were taken in by a local cat rescue and Chico was brought to Pet Patrol. The couple are in the
process of having the rest of the cats spayed or neutered to keep a nice healthy colony .
Personality:
Chico has proven to be a nice addition to the Pet Patrol sanctuary while awaiting his forever
home. He quickly made himself comfortable and was readily accepted by the other cats,
volunteers and visitors. He greets you at the door, is easily picked up and carried around and
purrs deeply in your arms. He will sit on your lap or beside you, loves to be brushed and have
a nice kitty massage and ear rub. He will show you his agility at climbing the cat tree and
chasing down toys. It has been a pleasure to watch him evolve into a happy and content cat.
Chico is now ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
