Rescue:
A woman reached out to Pet Patrol regarding a litter of kittens that she found under her
deck. She assumed the mother cat belonged to the neighbours as she was seen darting in
and out from where the kittens were found. The woman was concerned because the
babies were now crying, and at the young age of only 3.5 weeks old, they should be well
fed and quiet, so as to not attract predators. It seems that the mother cat disappeared,
and since she had been living at the neighbours for a few years, fed and sheltered, it is
assumed something got her (coyote are known in the area) and her kittens were orphaned.
The woman and her teenage daughters decided they would like to foster the kittens (Apollo
being one of them), bottle feed them and help to raise them into happy, healthy and well
adjusted kittens.
Personality:
Apollo is an active and playful kitten who has been raised in a family home with his siblings.
He was allowed full run of the house so that he could develop his natural curiosity
and adventurous nature. He is sweet, gentle and cuddly, but also quite playful and active
and thrives on activity and nurturing. Like all kittens he likes toys of all sorts, cardboard
boxes and anything that dangles. If it moves like a mouse or is a reflection on the wall, he
is very attentive to it. Apollo likes to be cuddled and carried around and is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
