Rescue:
A young man and his girlfriend had opened the window on their home, to bring in the fresh
summer air. The weather had been damp, humid, hot, windy and just so unpredictable that it
was nice to have a decent day outside. As he poured the kibble into his cat’s food dish it
made the tinkling sound and at the same time he heard a desperate mew. He looked at his
cats to see who made that sound, and they were looking at the open window, with their ears
alert and eyes wide. He then went to the door and opened it, to see who was outside, and in
walked Duffy. He was so friendly and so sweet, but so very hungry. Within a few hours he was
brought into Pet Patrol care, thin, dirty and disheveled. He ate and slept for the next three day
but recovered from his frightening time on the street. He had been without food for many days
before being rescued. Poor boy
Personality:
Duffy is a lovely boy. He was in pretty rough shape when he arrived at Pet Patrol, very dirty,
hungry and he came down with a cold showing that his immune system is low because of
living on the street. But with good nutrition and vet care he has come around beautifully and
has no issues at this time. Duffy enjoys the company of people and likes to have his ears rubbed and to be
picked up. He is fine with other cats and has settled into the new environment at the sanctuary.
He is a lovely boy who is ready to find his forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors.
