Rescue:
Where or where did Oona come from? She is such a lovely, sweet cat that it is a shame she
ended up on the street. A family had noticed her and were admiring how social she was, not
your average barn cat or feral. She would come to their back deck and dine from the feeding
station they had set up. They called Pet Patrol wanting to rescue her but didn’t know how, and
soon a plan was put in place. They described her as a petite white and black cat and said
she had been around for a while, apparently since the previous fall and was out at all hours
and in all weather. They set a humane trap and waited patiently. They rescued Oona on a nice
summers day and brought her into the sanctuary to see if she had a microchip. She did not
have one and any attempts to find her original home failed. Oona made herself right at home
in her foster home and has nurtured several orphan kittens who just needed an adult cat to
care for them.
Personality:
Oona is a petite little cat, who is a very sweet girl and is all in for a good pet and cuddle. She
is quick to purr and will let you know when she doesn’t want you to stop scratching under her
chin as she keeps coming back for more. After a nice pet she’s ready for some play. Grab a
kitty wand and she goes nuts trying to catch it with her precise and agile maneuvers – it doesn’t
stand an chance. Oona has no fear and loves to investigate her new environment and who is
visiting her. She will greet anyone and is very social with guests. Her kitty TV is watching
out the window for the birds flying by or gathering at the feeders. Oona is ready to be adopted
into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors..
