Rescue:

Giro’s mom Greta and her five babies (four boys and one girl) were rescued from a small town
outside of the city. An older man had left a message on the Pet Patrol line, telling us about the
little feline family under his deck, he was concerned for their welfare and also about future
breeding. Often a mother cat will leave her kittens once they reach twelve weeks of age,
knowing that they have shelter and food, within ten days of not nursing she will go into heat and
reproduce again. The kittens will begin to breed as well, once they are six months old. The
man felt they needed a better life. It was nice to know that Greta was a friendly girl which
would make finding her a home much easier. On the day that he was planning to bring them
into Pet Patrol care, they disappeared, but at the same time the weather had suddenly turned
very cold, wet and windy. She was hiding them from this drastic change in weather. Two days
later they all showed up again, Giro, Galland, Griffindor, Gracie and Gulliver were gathered up
and brought into Pet Patrol care.

Personality:

Giro is our feisty but loving boy. He is protective of his siblings in new situations but he gradually
melts with an ear rub and back massage. He is adorable with his soft fur and big gold
eyes and will make a great family cat. Giro loves his little stuffed mouse that you can put
catnip inside. Although too young for that herb, he is obsessed with the toy and anything that
dangles or moves like a mouse. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a playmate.
One that will welcome him into the family land keep him safely indoors.
