Rescue:

Newton was on the brink of freezing to death when two ladies found him on their walking trail. They were trying to get one more country walk in before the two day snow storm hit the area, because they knew they would be shut in for a while. As they entered an open field area they heard a cat crying. They briefly looked around but could not see anything. They continued on and thought nothing more of it. They reached the mid point of their walk and turned around to head home and when they reached the area again the cat began to scream out. They really took note of it and began looking around. They almost didn’t see little Newton because he was mostly buried in the snow, leaning up against a fence post in a sad attempt for shelter. His fur was caked with ice and snow and he knew he would not live much longer without help. When prompted he came out of the snow bank, right to one of the ladies, and she quickly scooped him up and hurried home. There it was discovered that his tail was badly injured and the next morning he was taken into the vet clinic that supports
Pet Patrol.

Personality:

All through this most difficult and life threatening time, Newton has maintained his and very fun loving personality. He was extremely grateful to be rescued and although his tail had to be completely amputated, he sailed through the surgery and recovery without incident. Newton is a real little champ who is very loving and affectionate. He likes nothing more than to be held in your arms and cradled like a baby. He is relaxed and content. Newton is ready to be adopted into his forever family. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
