Rescue:
Ellis is a very handsome boy who lived on a country property that housed many, many cats. It was a full production beef farm and there was a lot of activity on a daily basis. Not only
the cows, being very large animals compared to a little cat, but trucks, tractors and many
employees coming and going. Suddenly one day the energy changed when the husband
unexpectedly died, he was only in his mid 50’s. Everyone was devastated and ultimately the
farm was going to have to be sold as the woman could not run it by herself. During the
preparations for the sale she was desperately looking for a place for all the cats. They were
fed, cared for and friendly and with the help of several cat rescue organizations almost all
were rescued. That was a huge undertaking. Ellis came into Pet Patrol care and proved to be
a lovely boy. He adapted easily to an indoor life.
Personality:
Ellis is a sweetheart. He is not a big cat, has a beautiful black coat and is quite gentle.
He might be timid with new people at first but is doing well with his main caregiver who can
cuddle him and pick him up. He is fine with other cats, and on his own as well. He was not sure
about proper cat toys in the begining, as he had only had dried leaves, pebbles and the occasional
rodent to play with at the farm. We are sure that once settled into his new home that he
will be very excited about the laser pen light, ping pong balls and crinkly toys. He is a lovely
cat. Ellis is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors
