Rescue:

Marcy is a pretty little orange cat who had been born and raised on the farm. She’s one of
the lucky ones where she was fed every day and the cats were given shelter in the barn.
Often, they would sneak into the tack room where there was heat because of the saddles,
or she would go up into the hayloft and snuggle in between the bales of hay to stay warm in
the winter. The people were kind but it was time for them to find a new home for her. They
were selling the farm and they wanted to clear out most of the cats. Unable to take her
themselves they sought out a cat rescue organization in their area. Up north there are not
that many rescues, but Pet Patrol works closely with a few in particular. Soon Marcy was
brought into our care and proved to be as lovely a cat as they had promised.

Personality:

Marcy makes herself at home quite easily. She’s been quite happy to be an indoor cat now
and not have to deal with tiptoeing around puddles on cold cement floors and trying to stay
away from the feces of other animals. When it would rain outside and everything would be
damp, she was miserable. She likes to stretch out on the bed and be cuddled with her
people. TV is a mystery and she is learning about cat toys. Cat nip is a big hit though.
Marcy is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
