Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who lived locally and was looking for a place for
her father’s cat. He lived in a much larger city, in an apartment alone, with just Benny. The
man was elderly and had, unfortunately, passed away. The family began cleaning out his
home and sorting through his belongings. During all this, Benny kept them company, and
the family pondered what to do with him as they grieved the loss of their family member.
Local shelters were not taking in cats at that time, and the family were not in a position to
take him either. They reached out to many rescue organizations before contacting Pet
Patrol. Benny came into our care, concerned, but a nice boy.
Personality:
Benny’s world was turned upside down when he was taken from the only home he had
known. He was unsure of his foster home at first but after a few days of encouragement,
he came out to investigate the apartment and new people. Every day he showed more of
his affectionate personality and attachment to people. Benny is a lovely cat who will jump
up and sleep on the bed, is a cuddly lap cat and good company as well. Pets and attention
are a favourite thing as is sunning himself in the warmth of a sunbeam. Benny is ready to
be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors
