Rescue:
The sister of one of Pet Patrol’s volunteers, has farm properties that she rents. Sometimes
cats will take up residence there after traveling for some distance. Perhaps the farm they are
from is now overpopulated with other cats, there is limited, or no food put out for them, or
perhaps they were abandoned out there. For Clover, she was found in the barn with her three
little kittens. They were huddled in the hayloft. The weather was changing, and they were
trying to find warmth and they were very frightened. Luckily the woman who rents the barn,
regularly keeps an eye out for cats. There are no other animals in the building to keep heat in,
and there is no feed to attract rodents that the cats can hunt. They are alone. Our volunteer
quickly went out and brought in Clover and her kittens, Caramel, Capri and Copper. All have
thrived in our care.
Personality:
Caramel has done really well in her foster home. She is still a little reserved, but does like to
be pet and played with. She is very playful and loves anything that dangles or that she can
chase, pounce on or wrestle with. She can be picked up and will purr happily. Caramel is a
sweet little kitten who still has some learning to do in regard to coming to people and being
part of the family action, but she is young and will learn with time and patience.
