Rescue:
Everly was found outside a property close to a lake. The family that lived there rarely saw
any cats then suddenly one day she appears out of nowhere. She was quite frightened and
unsure of these people but soon gained trust in them as they fed her daily. She was very
grateful for this and would allow them to pet her and sit with her. As would happen, for a cat
living outside and not being fixed, she became pregnant. She gave birth to four little kittens
in the family’s garage. They continued to feed her and watch the kittens grow, not being able
to resist cuddling them, the kittens were cuddled and picked up and treated well. Everly
was wary at first but has come a long way and is very sweet. By the time they reached out
to Pet Patrol the family had found homes for 2 kittens with friends and family. Everly was a
surrogate mom to two orphans and ensured their survival. She was a good mama cat.
Personality:
Everly is a gentle and quiet girl who is learning the benefits of indoor living. She has been
through quite a bit in her short life and now enjoys the comfort of a loving foster home. She
had no idea what toys were but is starting to take an interest. She loves to curl up beside
you or just watch the world go by outside the window. She has been around the dogs in her
foster home and as the dogs are respectful, she has been fine and pays them no mind. She
would also be accepting of another cat that respects her. She would do well in a calm
home, adult only, looking to add another heart beat into their life. Everly loves to be pet and
receive ear scratches. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
