Rescue:
Toby and his siblings were part of two litters born to two mother cats who had been coming
and going from a country property for a few years. The couple had brought teen aged cats
to Pet Patrol a while back and since then have increased their shelter for the migrating cats,
making sure they were out of the weather and in a safe environment. On their property they
have a storage shed that they were not using for any other purpose, and inside is a heat
lamp for colder weather, and daily food and fresh water. In the spring time the woman
noticed the cats were very pregnant and not wanting them to have the kittens in the shed,
they were secured and moved into the workshop. In total there were eleven kittens born
this spring, between the two moms, and once weaned the woman was able to find homes
for five of them. Toby, Tucker, Bobby and Pee Wee were born March 24th and are now
ready for adoption.
Personality:
Toby is the biggest of all the kittens and the most independent. He was the first to want out
of the birthing box once his little legs could lift his body off the floor. He was game to see
more of his world. He has a lot of energy and is quite active. Running and playing with all
the kittens, but especially his brother Tucker. They are never too far from each other. He
does look for attention from his people and will often flop over at your feet to be petted.
How could you not be enticed to do that. He is adorable. Toby Is a lap cat, and likes to be
held, but he is also on the move and ready to be part of the action. Toby is ready to be
adopted into his forever home with his brother Tucker. One that will welcome them into the
family and keep them safely indoors.
