Rescue:
Little Pickles was just over three weeks old when she came into Pet Patrol’s care, but this tiny kitten
had already shown an incredible will to survive. With her unusual chocolatebrown colouring, rather
than the markings of a typical brown tabby, Pickles is as striking as she is special. She was born on
a traditional farm known to have a large population of cats. The children there care deeply for the
animals and treat them kindly, but veterinary care can be difficult when finances are already
stretched thin. When kittens become seriously ill, the children will sometimes bring them to a
woman nearby and ask if she can help, understanding that those kittens will not return to farm life.
That is how tiny Pickles found her way to safety. Her eyes were in terrible condition and without
intervention, she likely would have become permanently blind. Thankfully, she was surrendered in
time for Pet Patrol to provide the medical treatment she desperately needed. Her eyes may never
be completely normal, but her vision is dramatically better than it would have been without care.
Feisty, determined, and wonderfully unique, Pickles fought hard for her chance at a brighter future.
Personality:
Pickles is a beautiful chocolatebrown kitten and quite possibly one of the most affectionate little
girls you’ll ever meet. She absolutely craves attention and will happily fall asleep cuddled in your
arms, curl up on your lap while you relax on the couch, and purr her way through every bit of
affection she receives. Pickles has limited vision, but you certainly wouldn’t know it from watching
her confidently race around and enjoy life like any other kitten. Full of spunk and just the right
amount of sass, she loves playing with her foster siblings and especially enjoys racing through
tunnels. With all that kitten energy, Pickles needs plenty of stimulation and would love a home with
another playful kitty to keep her entertained—and perhaps help keep her out of trouble!
Affectionate, spirited, and truly the sweetest little Pickle, she is ready to be adopted into her forever
home—one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
