Rescue:
Aurelia appeared in early July at a family campground and trailer park about an hour from the Pet
Patrol sanctuary. She was extremely thin and hungry, yet so friendly that people quickly took a
liking to her. No one knew where she had come from, but Aurelia began visiting several times a day
looking for food and found shelter on the covered porches of caring campers. Throughout the
summer, there were plenty of people around to offer her a meal or a safe place to rest, but as fall
approached, the campground began preparing to close for the season. Soon, the people who had
been feeding her would be gone, leaving Aurilia with no dependable source of food or shelter as
colder weather arrived. One woman knew this sweet girl couldn’t simply be left behind and reached
out to Pet Patrol. Aurelia was brought into care, where she no longer has to wonder where her next
meal will come from or where she will sleep.
Personality:
Aurelia is a very friendly, social girl who is adjusting beautifully to life as an indoor cat. She enjoys
being around people, is welcoming with visitors, and gets along well with other cats. After spending
months outdoors at the campground, Aurelia still loves keeping tabs on the world outside and can
often be found watching through the window or enjoying the safety of the enclosed catio. She would
thrive with a family who has plenty of time to spend with her, offering playtime, companionship, and
all the affection she deserves. Her experience with dogs and young children is not yet known, but
she has proven herself to be a wonderfully adaptable and loving companion. Aurelia is ready to be
adopted into her forever home—one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
