ADOPTION PROFILE

Abbot & Acorn

Abbot & Acorn

Abbot & Acorn

Rescue:

Abbott, Acorn, and their siblings came from a country property where they had been living in a barn
with their mama, Angel. The woman renting the barn was preparing to move across Canada with
her horses, goats, and dog, and the property owner did not want the cats left behind. After a long
drive to the sanctuary, the six kittens arrived together in a large dog crate, dirty and in desperate
need of a cleanup. Everyone received a bath, which these gentle kittens handled remarkably well.
Although initially nervous about suddenly having ceilings, windows, and walls around them, Abbott
& Acorn quickly settled into the comforts and safety of indoor life.

Personality:

Abbott and Acorn are brothers, best friends, and an adorable bonded pair who are happiest
playing, napping, and growing up together. Abbott is a friendly, confident little fluff ball who has
been lovingly handled by a sixyearold and is wonderfully gentle with children. He loves being
held, curling up in laps, and will even happily snuggle into a giant hoodie pocket! Toys are always
fun, but nothing beats a good wrestling match with Acorn. Once the more timid of the two, Acorn
has blossomed into an incredibly affectionate little Velcro cat who becomes more cuddly by the day.
He enjoys being held and sometimes settles into a lap, although he often gets so excited about
receiving affection that he simply can’t sit still—circling, rubbing against his people, and rumbling
away with his loud motorboat purr. Whether they’re wrestling, cuddling, or curled up together for a
nap, these sweet brothers are never happier than when they have each other. Abbott and Acorn are
ready to be adopted into their forever home together—one that will welcome them into the family
and keep them safely indoors.
