Rescue:
Little Bean earned his name because he was first spotted sitting at the edge of a bean field on an
80acre country property. The woman living there rarely saw cats near her farmhouse, so this tiny
visitor immediately stood out. She brought him some food, and hungry little Bean quickly decided
this was the place to be. Each morning she would step outside and call, “Bean, come here buddy!”
and he would come tearing out of the bean field toward her. Before long he was rubbing around her
legs and happily allowing himself to be picked up and cuddled. It was suspected that he had
wandered from another farm, quite a journey for such a little cat. Thankfully, Bean found his way to
someone who recognized that this friendly boy belonged safely indoors.
Personality:
Bean is an absolute sunshine kitten who seems determined to bring love, cuddles, and plenty of
nose boops to everyone he meets. Calm, affectionate, and adorably chatty, he follows his people
around the house with soft little chirps and trills, gently reminding them that it might be time to sit
down so he can claim a lap. If no lap is available, a cat tree or soft bean bag chair will do,
especially if someone stays nearby to keep him company. Bean is an exceptionally wellmannered
little guy who rarely gets into mischief—his biggest offence is becoming a tripping hazard as he
winds around your feet looking for attention! He is beginning to show interest in playing with
friendly, wellmannered kittens, but with all the human affection he craves, he could also be
perfectly content as an only pet. Gentle, loving, and happiest close to his people, Bean is ready to
be adopted into his forever home—one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
