Rescue:
Griffin and Sakura may not have been rescued from the same place, but they both escaped
dangerous conditions before coming together. With Griffin, his mother Genevieve had been
sheltering at a waste facility, narrowly avoiding trucks, coyotes, and massive rats. An extremely
dedicated volunteer staked out with traps and treats in hopes to save her while she was pregnant,
but Genevieve was incredibly distrustful. She gave birth and hid the kittens. 115 days later, she was
finally trapped, along with her single surviving baby little Griffin. Meanwhile, Sakura had been
living among a colony of cats that had long reproduced beyond manageability. The property where
they hid was also overrun with clutter, including deceased animals, buckets of chemicals, and rusty
machinery. Some had severe eye infections and other illnesses. Sakura, thankfully, was rescued
and given immediate medical care. Both are now thriving in their foster home.
Personality:
Griffin and Sakura may have come from completely different backgrounds, but once they met in
their foster home, they quickly became the very best of friends. These two are full of energy and
love to play. They enjoy a good game of tag throughout the house, and when it comes to toys,
nothing is off limits! If it moves, they’re chasing it. Their playful personalities and silly antics will
keep you smiling. Both Griffin and Sakura arrived a little shy and unsure of humans, but they have
come such a long way. Sakura, once she feels comfortable, will happily demand her pets, while
Griffin is learning to enjoy affection and rewards you with the sweetest, biggest purrs. Give them a
little time and patience, and you’ll get to see their true personalities shine. Together, they are a
beautiful pair with so much love and fun to give. Griffin and Sakura would make a wonderful
addition to a loving forever home where they can continue to grow, play, and be best friends.
