Rescue:

Chet’s journey to safety was anything but ordinary. A couple driving a large transport truck had been
making deliveries throughout the day when, during a stop in a small village, they heard an
unexpected noise coming from the engine. When they investigated, they were stunned to discover
a tiny kitten hiding inside. Chet was dishevelled, frightened, thin, and hungry, and no one knew
where along their route he had climbed aboard—or how he had survived such a dangerous trip. It’s
possible he had been resting near a tire at one of their stops and, frightened by the truck starting,
climbed farther into the engine instead of jumping down. Unsure what to do, the couple carried him
into a nearby thrift store, where the owner immediately took him in and contacted a local cat
rescuer. As luck would have it, she was soon heading to Pet Patrol to pick up supplies and told us
about the unexpected little passenger in her car. Chet arrived shaking like a leaf but was incredibly
sweet despite everything he had endured. He was immediately given a warm bath, a cozy bed,
good food, and, most importantly, a safe place to recover from his incredible journey.

Personality:

Chet is a gentle, curious kitten who has blossomed into a friendly and easygoing little guy. He likes
to approach people on his own terms and is comfortable with gentle children, happily enjoying
attention once he feels at ease. When it’s time to play, Chet is eager to join in, with fishing wand
toys being a particular favourite. After all that fun, he loves curling up for a cozy nap, either on his
own or snuggled beside one of his foster kitten friends, with his wonderfully loud purr rumbling
away. Sweet, playful, and affectionate, Chet would enjoy having another friendly kitty to share his
new home with. Chet is ready to be adopted into his forever home—one that will welcome him into
the family and keep him safely indoors.
