Rescue:
Edison was discovered in the backyard of a woman who first noticed the tiny black kitten almost
completely hidden beneath the foliage in her garden. He had been appearing between her yard and
a neighbouring property for several days, but there was no sign of his mother or any siblings.
Before long, Edison emerged from his hiding place crying for attention and making it very clear that
he wanted to be picked up and cuddled. The woman began feeding him when she realized he
wasn’t leaving, but because someone in her home was highly allergic, bringing him inside wasn’t
possible. While picking up supplies at a local pet food store, she mentioned the little stray and was
given Pet Patrol’s contact information. Several people who overheard even offered to take him, but
she felt rescue was the safest choice for such a young kitten. Edison arrived in our care very
grateful for a good meal and quickly settled in. Meanwhile, neighbours continue to keep watch in
hopes that a mama or siblings may still be found.
Personality:
Edison is a sweet and gentle kitten who absolutely loves being around people. He is perfectly
content being picked up and carried around and can often be found cradled in the arms of the
children in his foster home, purring happily as he soaks up the cuddles. Curious about everything,
Edison loves exploring new places, investigating toys, and seeing what’s happening around him.
He is also very social with the other foster kittens and is rarely far from their company, so he will
need another friendly cat or kitten in his forever home. Affectionate, curious, and an excellent little
lap cat, Edison is ready to be adopted into his forever home—one that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
