Chance

Chance

Rescue:

It was quite literally by chance that this handsome champagnecoloured boy found his way to
safety. Two women who walked a public trail each day in a small country town began noticing him
along the gravel path, surrounded by trees, bushes, and open farmland. After speaking with other
walkers, they learned Chance had already been there for at least a month. The closest farmer knew
him too—Chance had been sleeping beneath his woodpile at night—but with his own cat having
recently given birth to four kittens, he simply couldn’t take in another. During the day, Chance made
friends with people along the trail, often climbing onto laps while walkers rested on the park
benches. But nights had become cold, and somehow this friendly boy had even weathered a
dramatic thunderstorm with little more than a woodpile for shelter. Concerned about what would
happen as the weather worsened, the women contacted Pet Patrol, obtained a carrier, and were
able to bring Chance safely into care

Personality:

Chance is an incredibly friendly, interactive boy with an easygoing personality and plenty of love to
give. He enjoys meeting both adults and children and quickly makes himself comfortable with
anyone willing to offer him some attention. While living along the walking trail, Chance regularly
encountered dogs and seemed quite comfortable around them as long as they respected his
space. More than anything, though, Chance is a cuddle cat! He loves climbing onto a welcoming
lap, snuggling in close, and enjoying the companionship he sought out even during his time
outdoors. Social, affectionate, and wonderfully relaxed, Chance is ready to be adopted into his
forever home—one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
