Rescue:
Life on the streets is never easy for a stray cat, especially one preparing to give birth. As their
kittens grow, mother cats desperately search for somewhere safe to bring them into the world, but
sometimes time runs out before they can find the shelter they need. We believe that’s exactly what
happened to sweet Gabby. With nowhere else to go, she sought refuge beneath the recycling bins
behind a busy coffee and donut shop. It wasn’t the safest place to raise a family, but it offered a little
protection and access to food from the kind people nearby. As her kittens grew stronger, they
naturally began venturing out from beneath the bins into the busy parking lot. Tragically, two of
Gabby’s kittens lost their lives before help could arrive. Thankfully, someone noticed the little family
and contacted a local rescue volunteer. Without hesitation, she dropped everything and rushed to
the scene. Gabby, with her gentle and trusting nature, was easy to rescue and seemed relieved to
finally accept the help she so desperately needed. Along with her two surviving kittens, Gia and
Galaxy, she was brought safely into Pet Patrol’s care, where they could leave the dangers of street
life behind and begin the journey toward the loving forever homes they deserve.
Personality:
Gabbi is a friendly, playful little sweetheart who has made huge strides since coming into Pet
Patrol’s care. Once unsure of people and her new surroundings, she has blossomed into a much
more trusting and affectionate little cat who enjoys attention and gentle pets from her people. She
loves to perch up high and investigate the world around her, and she has recently discovered just
how much fun toys can be too! Gabbi gets along wonderfully with other cats and has such a sweet,
curious nature. It has been lovely watching her realize that she is safe, loved, and free to simply
enjoy being a cat. Gabbi is ready to be adopted into her forever home—one that will welcome her
into the family and keep her safely indoors.
