Hi… my name is Willow. 🤍🐾
I was a pleasant surprise ….The nice people from Pet Patrol were trying to rescue another kitty, from an industrial area, when I peeked out from behind a garbage bin. I was hungry, and when I smelled food inside the humane trap, I bolted for it and ran right in. Less than thirty seconds later… my whole life changed.
Later, when they were investigating where I came from they discovered I was from a home that was abusive. I learned to hide and make myself invisible. I didn’t moved. I barely blinked and I made no sounds. I was so scared and hoped if no one noticed me, no one could hurt me. One day I took advantage of an open door and escaped. I ran for my life and spent the next few months trying to survive on my own.
When I arrived at Pet Patrol, I was terrified. I didn’t want anyone to touch me, and I spent most of my time tucked safely into my little corner. But my foster family never gave up on me. They sat quietly beside me, spoke softly, and celebrated every tiny step I took toward trusting them.
As I slowly came out of my shell, they realized something else wasn’t right.
I wasn’t eating much, I wanted to… but it hurt.
The vet discovered several broken teeth and many are rotten teeth causing me pain and discomfort. Now I need dental surgery to remove the damaged teeth so I can finally eat comfortably and start feeling like the kitten I was always meant to be.
My foster mom tells me that once my mouth feels better, maybe my heart will keep healing too.
The surgery, medications, and dental care are expensive, but Pet Patrol didn’t give up on a frightened little girl who had forgotten what kindness felt like.
Now, every gentle pet reminds me that maybe the world isn’t so scary after all.
With hopeful little purrs,
Willow 🤍🐱
