Rescue:
Fritz was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where dozens of cats were struggling to
survive. The property owner rented out two neighbouring houses while using the buildings and
sheds to store years’ worth of belongings, creating overcrowded conditions that allowed unowned
cats to multiply unnoticed. One tenant became so overwhelmed by the clutter in the storage room
attached to her living space that she had to hang plastic over the open doorway to separate it from
her home. When she reached out to Pet Patrol for help, volunteers discovered eight kittens living
on the property. Just weeks later, another eight kittens were found in a shed behind the
neighbouring house, highlighting just how quickly the population had grown. Fritz was one of the
lucky kittens rescued from these difficult conditions before he had to spend any longer fighting to
survive. Now safe in foster care, he has the chance to leave his challenging start behind and look
forward to a future filled with love, security, and a forever family.
Personality:
Fritz is a gentle, easygoing kitten with an impressively big purr! Although he started out on the shy
side, he has blossomed into a friendly boy who enjoys quietly observing family life and joining in
once he feels comfortable. When it’s time to play, Fritz is eager to get involved, especially if fishingstyle wand toys or bouncy balls are on offer. He also loves his downtime and can often be found
curled up somewhere cozy, either on his own or snuggled with his best buddy, Hershey. Once Fritz
learns that he can trust you, his affectionate side really begins to shine—he’ll even roll onto his
back asking for belly rubs while his loud purr rumbles away. A home with older children who can
appreciate his peaceful nature and give him time to settle in would suit him beautifully. Fritz is ready
to be adopted into his forever home—one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
