Rescue:

Bindi was found in a small town not far from the Pet Patrol sanctuary, desperately crying for help
from underneath a parked car. One concerned man noticed the young cat and was surprised by
how many people simply walked past despite her loud cries. When he first tried to pick her up,
frightened little Bindi resisted and ran away, but he also noticed something unusual about the way
she walked. Thankfully, he didn’t give up, and eventually Bindi was safely brought into care. Once
she settled in, it quickly became clear what an absolute sweetheart she was, and an examination
revealed that her unusual movement was caused by cerebellar hypoplasia, a condition in which the
cerebellum does not fully develop before birth. Bindi may be a little unsteady on her feet, but she
has adapted wonderfully—she steadies herself well, gets around independently, and doesn’t let it
stop her from enjoying life. She may never be a cat who leaps onto kitchen counters, but with pet
steps to help her reach the couch, she can enjoy all the comforts of indoor life right alongside her
people. From a frightened kitten crying beneath a car to a happy girl surrounded by care, Bindi is
now safe and ready for the loving future she deserves.

Personality:

Bindi is an incredibly gentle girl whose biggest wish in life is simply to be loved. Sweet, patient, and
affectionate, she happily soaks up attention without ever being demanding about it. Bindi has
adjusted beautifully to sanctuary life and is wonderfully accepting of the other cats around her. Her
passive, easygoing nature means she would especially enjoy having a gentle feline friend to cuddle
up beside. Although her cerebellar hypoplasia makes her a little unsteady, Bindi gets around very
well and has learned how to navigate life in her own way. A calmer home would suit her best,
without small children, and a few simple accommodations like pet steps would help her access her
favourite cozy spots. Kindhearted and full of love, Bindi is ready to be adopted into her forever
home—one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
