Rescue:

The D family’s story began on a peaceful hobby farm with rolling fields, horses, fruit trees, and a
long laneway tucked away from the road. She had made the farm her home after arriving from a
neighbouring property, where she was known to be an incredibly friendly cat. When she gave birth
to her kittens in the barn, the family wanted to make sure they all had the opportunity for safe,
loving indoor lives. They reached out to Pet Patrol, and Desi and her little family were welcomed
into our care. As if raising her own kittens wasn’t enough, Desi also opened her heart to an
orphaned kitten named Muffin, lovingly accepting him as one of her own and giving him the comfort
and care every baby deserves.

Personality:

Dewey is an adorably clumsy little guy whose goofy personality makes him impossible not to love.
He has a blast racing through tunnels, chasing strings, and playing with all the other kittens, making
the cutest little noises as he goes. When it comes to affection, Dewey is a purring machine who
loves pets and belly rubs, and if you dare stop before he’s ready, expect an adorable little protest!
He’ll sniff and lick your hand while you pet him, and fair warning—your toes are fair game for kisses
too. Dewey is still learning to feel comfortable being picked up and prefers to be held close with his
little bum supported, but he’s making progress every day. When it’s time to recharge, his favourite
place is the hammock basket, usually curled up tightly with one of his siblings. Sweet, silly,
affectionate, and endlessly entertaining, Dewey is ready to be adopted into his forever home—one
that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
