Rescue:
Duncan was first noticed by several people coming and going from a grocery store in a small town.
This little cat was wandering between parked cars, leaving everyone wondering where he had
come from, whether anyone was looking for him, and, most importantly, how long he could avoid
the dangers of the busy parking lot. One concerned couple knew they couldn’t simply leave him
there and managed to pick him up and bring him to a woman in a nearby village who rescues cats
before connecting them with larger organizations that can provide ongoing care. Soon, Duncan was
welcomed into Pet Patrol. Life outdoors had taken its toll; with cold summer nights, wind, rain, hot
days, and inconsistent access to food, cats trying to survive alone can quickly become underweight
and susceptible to upper respiratory infections. Duncan needed some time and care to recover, but
he has come along beautifully. Now safe, well fed, and looked after, he no longer has to weave
between cars searching for somewhere to belong.
Personality:
Duncan is a happy, outgoing guy with a big personality and plenty to say! This chatty boy loves
carrying on conversations with his people and certainly isn’t shy about asking for attention when he
wants it. Duncan is affectionate, social, and happiest when he can be right in the middle of
whatever is going on. He has lots of energy to burn and loves racing around, chasing toys, and
making every play session as exciting as possible. Once he’s ready for a break, his affectionate
side takes over and he’s more than happy to soak up plenty of pets and love from his people.
Playful, cheerful, and bursting with personality, Duncan is ready to be adopted into his forever
home, one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
