Rescue:
Each of the S Kittens came to Pet Patrol after volunteers were alerted to a property just outside a
small town where a growing colony of cats was struggling to survive. Two neighbouring rental
properties had become overrun with old car parts and countless other items, creating endless
hiding places, but providing very little safety. By the time help arrived, there were approximately five
adult cats and fifteen kittens living between the two properties. Some of the kittens were hiding
throughout the first yard, while the others had taken shelter inside a neglected shed next door. The
conditions inside the shed were heartbreaking, with clutter, the remains of deceased animals, and
unknown chemicals and debris scattered throughout. Several of the kittens arrived frightened and
completely unfamiliar with human kindness, while two were suffering from severe eye infections.
One little kitten’s eye was too badly damaged to save and had to be surgically removed. Although
they were understandably terrified when they first came into care, patience, gentle handling, and
plenty of love helped these resilient kittens slowly discover that people could be trusted. Today, they
are thriving and ready to find the safe, loving homes they have always deserved.
Personality:
Sora’s transformation has been nothing short of heartwarming. When she first arrived in foster care,
she was so nervous and timid that she didn’t utter a single meow for three weeks. With patience,
love, and the reassurance of her siblings, this sweet girl has blossomed into the carefree kitten she
was always meant to be—even sharing her very first little meow. Now, Sora happily chases feather
toys, tumbles with her siblings, and eagerly explores everything around her. She gets along
wonderfully with the resident adult cats and even the family dog, making her a great fit for a home
with other pets. After a day full of adventures, she’s more than happy to settle in for gentle pets and
cuddles with her people. Sweet, beautiful, and full of quiet charm, Sora is ready to be adopted into
her forever home, either with one of her siblings or into a family with another friendly feline
companion, where she will be welcomed into the family and kept safely indoors.
