Rescue:

On a cold, wet night a man heard the faint cries of a tiny kitten somewhere outside his home.
Worried for her safety, he searched with a flashlight under the shed, beneath the deck, and through
the shrubs, but she was so small that she could have been hiding anywhere. The cries continued
through the night, and although he couldn’t find her right away, he kept searching. When he
returned from work the next day, he finally spotted her tucked among a pile of wooden skids.
Petunia was barely five weeks old—far too young to be alone and unsure of where her mother or
siblings were. Several weeks later, while Petunia was already in Pet Patrol’s care, the rest of her
family was finally located. Momma Piper and four additional kittens Pancake, Paprika, Parsley,
and Popcorn were safely rescued. All are thriving and ready for the cozy, indoor life.

Personality:

Piper is a gentle girl who may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her
loving personality shines through. While she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and isn’t a
fan of being picked up, she absolutely loves being petted and enjoys spending time close to her
people. Piper has the cutest habit of performing little tricks for attention or treats, happily twirling in
circles and even standing up on her back legs to show off. She enjoys quietly following her family
around the house and, when everything settles down, will often hop onto the couch to relax beside
you. When she’s not keeping her people company, Piper can usually be found perched on the top
of the cat tree or stretched out in a sunny window, happily watching the world go by. Sweet, gentle,
and full of quiet charm, Piper is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome
her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
