Rosette

Rescue:

Pet Patrol was alerted to a rural property where the number of cats had quietly grown beyond what
one family could manage. After an elderly woman passed away, her daughter inherited the
farmhouse, barn, drive shed, chicken coop, and the many cats her mother had lovingly cared for
over the years. As time went on, it became clear that keeping up with spaying and neutering had
become impossible, and by the time help arrived, there were 12 adult cats and 19 kittens living
throughout the property. While the buildings themselves were a little worn and cluttered, the cats
had managed to create cozy little shelters for themselves amongst the farm equipment, stacked
furniture, boxes, and warm straw scattered through the sheds and coop. A heat lamp in the chicken
coop helped keep many of them warm, and despite their circumstances, the cats were healthy,
friendly, and eager for attention. Volunteers were greeted by affectionate adults weaving around
their legs while tiny kittens peeked out shyly from behind abandoned fridges, stacked lawn chairs,
and hidden corners before slowly venturing out to investigate. They were safely brought into Pet
Patrol’s care, where they could begin their next chapter in loving foster homes.

Personality:

Rosette’s name suits her perfectly, as she is the most petite of all the kittens and as sweet as can be. She can be a little shy at first, but she just needs a bit of time to know she is safe, and then her gentle, loving personality starts to shine. Rosette enjoys playtime with her friends and toys, but she also loves a good cozy nap. She is often found sleeping belly-up with an extra little stretch, almost as if she knows exactly how cute she is. With her soulful eyes and delicate little face, Rosette has a quiet charm that is hard to resist. Hand-raised around children and used to being handled often, she is well-socialized and learning to trust love and affection. Raised with many other kittens, Rosette is used to companionship and would likely enjoy another feline friend in her forever home. Rosette would like to be adopted into a home that will keep her safely indoors.
