ADOPTION PROFILE

Odette

Rescue:

Pet Patrol was alerted to a rural property where the number of cats had quietly grown beyond what
one family could manage. After an elderly woman passed away, her daughter inherited the
farmhouse, barn, drive shed, chicken coop, and the many cats her mother had lovingly cared for
over the years. As time went on, it became clear that keeping up with spaying and neutering had
become impossible, and by the time help arrived, there were 12 adult cats and 19 kittens living
throughout the property. While the buildings themselves were a little worn and cluttered, the cats
had managed to create cozy little shelters for themselves amongst the farm equipment, stacked
furniture, boxes, and warm straw scattered through the sheds and coop. A heat lamp in the chicken
coop helped keep many of them warm, and despite their circumstances, the cats were healthy,
friendly, and eager for attention. Volunteers were greeted by affectionate adults weaving around
their legs while tiny kittens peeked out shyly from behind abandoned fridges, stacked lawn chairs,
and hidden corners before slowly venturing out to investigate. They were safely brought into Pet
Patrol’s care, where they could begin their next chapter in loving foster homes.

Personality:

Odette is a super soft and fluffy black beauty with the sweetest, gentlest personality. She has been
an amazing mama cat and is now ready for a life of her own where she can be loved, spoiled, and
finally relax without responsibility. Odette is calm, gentle, and affectionate. She loves pets and
attention, but she is also perfectly happy and content doing her own thing. She may come over for
some love and then happily curl up beside you, or find a cozy spot nearby to relax. She is
wonderfully easygoing. She is good with other cats and children, and she is becoming more
comfortable with being picked up each day. What she absolutely adores is being brushed, pet, and
pampered. She will even roll over for belly rubs and soak up every second. Odette is looking for a
forever home where she will be cherished and kept safely indoors.
