Rescue:
Winona and her siblings came to Pet Patrol after a woman who runs a small rescue in a remote
town was contacted by a couple who needed help caring for the growing number of cats on their
rural property. Over the years, they had opened their hearts to many stray cats, providing food,
shelter, and kindness to those who wandered onto their land. While some cats simply stopped by
for a meal before continuing on their way, others chose to stay. Eventually, there were simply too
many cats for the couple to manage on their own. Concerned about finding safe, loving homes for
so many cats, the couple reached out for help. Winona and her siblings, Winifred, Whitney, and
Wyatt, were safely brought into Pet Patrol’s care. Having been raised in a loving home, all of the
cats arrived friendly, social, and comfortable being handled, making the transition to foster care an
easy one as they began searching for forever homes of their own.
Personality:
Winona is the middle sister — the clever little troublemaker who can stir up mischief and somehow
make it look like one of her sisters was responsible. With her beautiful golden eyes and playful,
curious spirit, she keeps life entertaining wherever she goes. You’ll often find Winona perched at
the very top of the cat tree, carefully watching everything around her and making sure she never
misses out on the action. She happily joins in wrestling matches, races, and playtime with her
sisters and brother, and gets along wonderfully with all of them. When she’s not busy playing,
Winona enjoys birdwatching from the window or curling up with her siblings for a wellearned kitten
nap after a busy day of running and tumbling around. This sweet and spirited girl would make a
wonderful addition to any loving home that will keep her safe, cherished, and happily indoors
