Rescue:
A woman who has helped with rescuing cats in the past, in her small village, was contacted by a
former neighbor. She was told about a mother cat that had been abandoned at the front of their
home, which was becoming far to common. Wanting to help her right away, they brought Solene
into their garage where she could be safe and sheltered. About a week after arriving, and a surprise
to them, she gave birth to three kittens. Before those kittens were fully grown, however, she went
into heat again and was briefly allowed outside. Soon after, she returned pregnant once more and
later had a second litter of seven kittens. The first litter included Smarties and Snickers. When
Solene and her newborns were rescued, Smarties and Snickers were found shortly after in the
same village. The entire extended family is now safe and warm and ready for the indoor life.
Personality:
Snickers and Smarties are an incredibly sweet bonded pair who truly bring out the best in each
other. Snickers is the brave and outgoing brother, always the first to come over for pets, flop onto
his back for belly rubs, and confidently explore whatever is happening around him. Smarties is
much more timid at first and relies heavily on Snickers for reassurance, often staying close by and
watching his brother carefully before deciding people are safe. Once he warms up, though,
Smarties becomes wonderfully affectionate, giving the gentlest little head boops and looking up
with the softest, most loving eyes. The two spend their days playing together, chasing toys through
tunnels, exploring side by side, and cuddling up close when it’s time to relax. Watching Snickers
help build his brother’s confidence is truly special, and because of their strong bond, these boys are
looking for a forever home together. Snickers and Smarties are ready to be adopted into their
forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
