Rescue:
When city subdivisions are developed, it means that farmland is bulldozed, including barns where
cats have lived. When the dust is settled and the homes are built, kitties find refuge under decks,
behind sheds, and in carports. Food is scavenged and they wish for a kind soul to start feeding
them. Hope upon hope is that they are rescued and adopted into a home. This is the lineage of
Muffin and her four kittens. One woman, who has spayed or neutered at least 30 cats in her
neighbourhood, took a shine to Muffin. However, before getting a chance to spay Muffin, this
momma was spotted carrying one of her babies under a patio chair outside the woman’s home.
Muffin crawled underneath the blanket and placed her baby there, then moved the other three
kittens into the cozy cave. Soon after, Muffin and her kittens came into Pet Patrol’s care where they
proved to be lovely, chubby kittens. The kittens all went on to happy homes, and now it’s Muffin’s
turn.
Personality:
Muffin is a soft, velvetfurred girl with a playful spirit and a gentle heart. Like her sister Minou, she
can be shy with strangers and prefers to disappear until she feels safe, but once comfortable she
enjoys attention and affection from her people. Muffin does not like being picked up, but happily
interacts on her own terms and loves being part of the household routine. She is wonderful with
other cats and kittens, often playing tag and chasing them as if she were still a kitten herself. She
enjoys watching the world from the window, soaking up the sun, and playing with laser toys. Muffin
shares a close bond with Minou, and the two are often found grooming and cuddling together.
Muffin is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
