Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who runs a small cat rescue in a rural village where there
are no municipal shelters or nearby rescue organizations. Surrounded by farmland, the area often
sees an increase in stray and roaming cats. She had been contacted by a farm family she had
helped in the past—people who care deeply for their cats and make sure they are spayed and
neutered. Suddenly, however, they discovered several unfamiliar cats appearing on the property,
bringing their total to twelve. It seemed that stray cats had begun arriving from the surrounding area
looking for food and shelter during a stretch of cold, wet, and windy weather. Hoping to help a few
of them find safe homes, the rescuer brought Quinta and another young cat to Pet Patrol. Quinta
was only about five months old at the time, a delicate little girl with dainty features who was
impossible not to want to cuddle. Plans were made to continue helping some of her siblings as well
so they too could have the chance for a safer future.
Personality:
Quinta is a sweet and gentle kitten who will take a little time to settle in as she explores her new
home and finds her favourite cozy spots. She loves curling up in a cat tree or stretching out on a
sunny windowsill, soaking up the warmth and watching the world go by. Once she feels
comfortable, Quinta happily responds when called and will come over to be picked up, follow you
around for pets, or snuggle up beside you on the couch or bed. She has a loving, affectionate
nature and even enjoys giving the occasional little kitty kiss on your nose. Quinta would do best in
an easygoing, calm home, ideally with adults or a family with one gentle child who will respect her
need to adjust at her own pace. Quinta is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
