Rescue:
Gabe and his siblings, Graham, Gideon, and Gavin, came from a family home where 14 cats were
living together—far more than could reasonably be cared for. None of the cats had been spayed or
neutered, and multiple generations had been born over time. With a single income supporting a
household with children, the cost of food and litter became increasingly difficult to manage. A
dedicated woman from a nearby small village who does rescue work learned of the situation and
stepped in to assist. Thankfully, Gabe and the other cats were friendly, social, and used to human
interaction despite the overcrowding. Gabe adjusted easily to being handled and was quick to show
that he is ready for a stable, loving home of his own.
Personality:
Gabe is a happy, active boy who loves being part of the action. If something interesting is
happening in the room, you can bet Gabe will be there to check it out! Friendly and curious by
nature, he enjoys following his people around and seeing what everyone is up to. This sweet guy
absolutely loves attention. Gabe happily climbs into your lap for pets and will reward you with loud,
content purrs. He also enjoys being picked up and cuddled, making him a wonderful companion for
someone looking for an affectionate kitty. When it’s playtime, Gabe is ready! He has fun with just
about any toy you offer—from ball towers and springs to cat wands. He also loves climbing cat
trees and chasing around with his brother for a good game of kitten tag. After a busy play session,
Gabe is all about comfort. You’ll often find him curled up on a cozy cushion or tucked inside a little
cat house for a well earned nap. Gabe would love a family who will give him lots of attention,
playtime, and cozy places to relax—and a home committed to keeping him safely indoors.
