Rescue:
Mia came into care after a small rescue in a nearby village was contacted by a charitable
organization. A gentle man who had been living alone needed to surrender his pets in order to
qualify for public housing. Life had been challenging for him, but he cared deeply for his animals.
He lived in a small apartment and shared his home with a dog, Mia, and her remaining kitten. Mia
herself had originally been found as a stray kitten outside his home, and he simply couldn’t ignore
her, bringing her inside where she was loved and cared for. Over time and not being spayed, she
had several litters after being allowed outdoors, though it is unclear how the other kittens were
rehomed. When his housing situation changed, he made the difficult but responsible decision to
seek help for Mia, knowing she deserved stability and a secure future. Though it was heartbreaking
for him, he did what was best for her.
Personality:
Mia is a very easygoing and affectionate girl who enjoys attention and closeness. She loves being
petted and held and settles comfortably into her surroundings. She has shown that she can coexist
well with a smaller dog and other cats, making her a flexible addition to many types of homes. Mia
enjoys looking out the window at the fields, trees, and passing traffic, greeting visitors as they
arrive, and exploring toys at her own relaxed pace. With her calm temperament and gentle nature,
Mia is a lovely companion who appreciates being included in daily life. Mia is ready to be adopted
into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
