ADOPTION PROFILE

Ceres

Ceres

Ceres

Rescue:

Ceres and his brother Caliban were first noticed when they began appearing on a country property,
shy and wary but clearly hungry. An elderly couple living there started feeding them, and over time
the young cats became more comfortable returning for food. Their son, who lives in the city, felt
strongly that these boys deserved better than facing winter outdoors — especially with foxes being
seen in the area — and he didn’t want to risk harm coming to them. He trapped them gently and
brought them into his home to keep them safe. At first Caliban and Ceres were very timid, unsure of
this sudden change, but they slowly began responding to him, exploring the large room they were
given and even snuggling up to him at night. Once space opened at Pet Patrol, they were
transferred into our care so they could continue building trust, receive proper veterinary attention,
and have the chance to find a loving indoor forever home preferably together.

Personality:

Ceres is a quiet, gentle boy. He’s more reserved at first, but he comes alive during playtime with his
Caliban, especially during evening zoomies. He’ll wrestle, chase, cuddle, and groom his brother,
and feline companionship provides him comfort, confidence, and calm. Ceres is an affectionate,
playful boy who enjoys gentle interaction, soft voices, and being allowed to settle at his own pace.
He would love to be adopted with Caliban, or with another friendly cat that will keep him company.
Ceres is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors.
