Rescue:
Luna was found crying and shivering on a front porch during an extremely cold winter weekend.
She was thin—skin and bones—with a dry coat and clear signs that she had been outside for quite
some time. When she was first picked up, she was freezing and very frightened, unsure of what
was happening. Thankfully, she was brought inside immediately to warm up and receive food.
Multiple local lostandfound sites were checked in hopes of locating an owner, but no one came
forward. Though the family who rescued her already had three pets and could not keep her long
term, they made sure she was safe until arrangements could be made for her next step. With
warmth, nourishment, and kindness, Luna began to relax, slowly realizing she was finally out of the
cold and no longer alone.
