Rescue:
Sweet Pea was found by a man who discovered a skinny, longhaired tortoiseshell cat tucked into
loose straw on the floor of his shed. The moment she saw him, she sat up and reached out for help,
making it clear she had once known love and human kindness. The man lives on a country property
and had gone out to feed his chickens before work when he found her. How Sweet Pea managed
to survive remains a mystery, especially given the brutal winter conditions—howling winds, blizzard
like snow, and temperatures dropping to nearly 20°C. Alarmed by her condition, he reached out to
a former coworker who helps with small scale rescue. Through that connection, arrangements were
quickly made for Sweet Pea to come into Pet Patrol’s care, where she could finally receive the
warmth, safety, and affection she had clearly been missing.
Personality:
Sweet Pea is completely adorable and utterly magnetic, with a personality that’s all about love—
and then some more love. She’s happy go lucky, carefree, and fearless, greeting people with
enthusiasm and flopping right over for pets the moment she sees you. Sweet Pea craves affection,
loves being held, and enjoys exploring her surroundings with her human close by. After cuddle time,
she’s all about toys, toys, and more toys, happily bouncing between play and affection. Despite
arriving in poor condition, she’s steadily regaining her health and showing just how resilient and
joyful she is. Beautiful inside and out, Sweet Pea is always curious about what people are doing
and wants to be part of it all. Sweet Pea is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
