Rescue:
This little family — Gigi, Georgie, Gizmo, Ginger, and Gadget — were rescued from a local
children’s park area where an outdoor colony of cats regularly migrates. It is believed they were
part of a group from the previous year who had been missed during earlier rescues. They were
spending their time in the backyard of an older woman who had begun feeding them when they
started appearing more frequently. At first she thought there were only two, as several of them
looked so similar, but when trapping began the truth came out — the mother was caught first, then
a few days later, her kittens. The woman insisted there was still one more, and sure enough,
another trap was set and the final baby was caught, having been fending for itself for nearly two
weeks. They were housed safely in a spare room until coming into Pet Patrol’s care, and within just
a few days they showed how friendly, trusting, and kind natured they truly were.
Personality:
Georgie & Ginger are a super close pair of kittens who balance each other beautifully. Georgie is
the adventurous spokesman of the duo — curious about everything and always ready to share his
thoughts with a chirp or meow. Ginger is more laidback and prefers to observe her surroundings
from the softest chair or her favourite basket, especially if there’s a good TV show on. When
playtime starts, they are perfectly in sync, happily racing after spring and ribbon toys. These two
love cuddling, grooming each other, and offering comfort when either needs reassurance. Georgie
& Ginger are learning to be brave with new people, but once they feel comfortable they enjoy gentle
pets and cozy snuggles — treats definitely help speed up the process. Their sweet personalities
and strong bond make them a wonderful duo for a loving, patient home. Georgie & Ginger are
ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep
them safely indoors.
