Rescue:

Merlin’s story begins in an empty apartment, where a cleaner discovered him after the tenants had
moved out. Shockingly, this sweet boy had been left behind—confined to a small carrier in the
bathroom with only a bowl of food, no water, and no one to care for him. The landlord, unsure what
to do, said he would simply put Merlin outside if no one took him. Thankfully, the cleaner couldn’t
leave him to such a fate. This wasn’t the first time she had stepped in for an abandoned cat, and
once again she took action, bringing him into safety and reaching out for help. When Merlin arrived
at Pet Patrol, he was thin, disheveled, and clearly neglected. His coat was dull, he was unneutered,
and it seemed unlikely he had ever seen a vet before. But beneath the rough start was a gentle
soul, and now Merlin is finally receiving the care, love, and attention he deserves. His days of being
forgotten are behind him, and his future is full of hope.

Personality:

Merlin is the definition of love at first sight. He’s endlessly sweet, affectionate, and adores being
close to his humans. This charming boy loves cuddles, head rubs, and especially nose kisses—his
favorite way to say hello. Merlin has a calm, gentle presence and always seems to sense how his
people are feeling, offering quiet comfort and companionship when it’s needed most. With his big
heart and sunny personality, he brightens every room he walks into and has a way of making
everyone feel special. Whoever adopts Merlin will be incredibly lucky to share their home with such
a loving soul. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
