Rescue:
Two sisters were walking along a quiet trail with their large dog when he suddenly pulled toward
something in the grass. It was the body of a mother cat—tragically attacked and unable to survive
her injuries. At first, there were no kittens in sight… until the sisters heard a faint, desperate meow.
Little Gemma was hidden beneath her mother, weak and frightened but miraculously alive.
The girls acted quickly, gently carrying Gemma to safety and reaching out for help. She was the
only survivor and had been clinging to her mother, hoping for warmth and protection. It’s a
heartbreaking start to life, but thanks to the compassion of two young girls and the quick thinking of
their family. Gemma was given a second chance and luckily a surrogate mother cat took her on.
Now safe in Pet Patrol’s care, this brave little kitten is surrounded by love and ready to begin a
much brighter chapter.
Personality:
Though smaller than her new foster siblings and weakened by her ordeal, Gemma was determined
and quickly found her place. She grew strong, confident, and healthy, and soon began leading the
way in every adventure, showing that this little survivor has a big spirit. Now Gemma is a busy,
playful ball of energy who loves to race around chasing toys, stirring up fun and investigating
anything new and unusual. But once the excitement winds down, she’s all about comfort and
connection. You’ll find her napping with her people, or snuggled up close to her foster siblings,
never far from those she loves. Gemma is a true testament to resilience, and she’s ready to bring
her zest for life into a forever home. If you’re looking for a kitten who’s both fierce and affectionate,
independent and loving, this adorable girl is ready to race into your heart — and stay there. Gemma
would appreciate the opportunity to maintain her close connection with her foster siblings by being
adopted along with one or more of them: Harriet, Hercule, Hamish and Holmes.
