Luana

Luana

Rescue:

A rural home owner thought it was just another day—until his dogs took off toward the portable car shelter. As they barked at the flaps, something astonishing happened: at least seven or eight cats burst from the tent, scattering into the fields. The man froze he hadn’t even known they were there. Somehow, in a quiet corner of his property, a hidden colony had formed—desperate cats clinging to the only shelter they could find from the freezing rains and moody spring temperatures. With help from a kindhearted woman running a small rescue in the village, Pet Patrol was contacted. These cats had no warmth, no food, and nowhere to rest. Among those we welcomed into our care was Luana, a tortoiseshell beauty. She was lucky; rescued before the worst of the weather, saved from the dangers of nearby roads and roaming dogs. Her days of hiding are behind her, and their chance at a forever home is just ahead.

Personality:

If she was a human, she would be a friendly introvert who is eager to hang out but doesn’t always know what to say. She would prefer a small gathering of her closest friends over attending a party. She would rather stay in for a home cooked meal with her best companions than go out to a bustling restaurant. Luana is a quiet but affectionate girl who really enjoys peaceful moments in a calm unhurried home. She asks for love and petting with her gentle chirp, and responds with lots of purrs and flopping onto her side to soak in the attention. She gets along with other cats, as has been known to form mothering bonds with other foster kittens. Luana would thrive in a small quiet home where she can relax and feel safe and cozy, and be a loving and devoted companion.
