Rescue:
A rural home owner thought it was just another day—until his dogs took off toward the portable car shelter. As they barked at the flaps, something astonishing happened: at least seven or eight cats burst from the tent, scattering into the fields. The man froze he hadn’t even known they were there. Somehow, in a quiet corner of his property, a hidden colony had formed—desperate cats clinging to the only shelter they could find from the freezing rains and moody spring temperatures. With help from a kindhearted woman running a small rescue in the village, Pet Patrol was contacted. These cats had no warmth, no food, and nowhere to rest. Among those we welcomed into our care was Luana, a tortoiseshell beauty. She was lucky; rescued before the worst of the weather, saved from the dangers of nearby roads and roaming dogs. Her days of hiding are behind her, and their chance at a forever home is just ahead.
Personality:
Luana is a mom ready to trade in her kitten raising duties for the quiet life. Her playful spirit shines through the moment she’s off the clock. She adores chasing springs and pom poms and is especially excited by the company of other cats. She’s eager to bond with feline friends and would thrive in a home with another friendly cat or a human who can give her plenty of attention. While Luana is very affectionate, she needs a bit of time to warm up to new people. She startles at loud noises and can be on high alert in new environments, but she craves connection and will often stay close, chirping and meowing expressively to let you know she’s there. She’s not a lap cat but she’ll happily roll onto her side at your feet, inviting you in for belly rubs and side scratches. Luanna is looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to grow her confidence and feel safe. In return, she’ll offer companionship, playful antics, and the soft, steady comfort of a cat who’s ready to begin her cozy indoor life with a forever family. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
