Rescue:
When Pet Patrol received a message that read, “Wonder if I can get help with rehoming the kittens
that my cat just had?” we knew a heartfelt rescue story was beginning. In the early hours of
January 19th—around 3 a.m.—a young cat named Lana gave birth to six beautiful kittens: three
boys and three girls. All black, the girls have long, elegant coats, while the boys are shorthaired and
sleek. Lana’s owner had been doing everything possible to care for the new family. As Lana nursed
and tended to her kittens like a devoted mom, her human was also doing their best—juggling
feeding, cleaning, and watching over the tiny litter. But with four other cats in the home and rising
tension between them, the peaceful dynamic had shifted. Sleep became scarce, space was tight,
and things were becoming overwhelming. The kittens, however, are sweet and well socialized,
having grown up in a home where they received lots of attention and gentle handling. Their
caregiver had grown deeply attached and wanted to keep them all—but ultimately knew they
deserved homes where they could thrive. Thanks to this act of love, the kittens are now safe with
Pet Patrol, ready for forever homes of their own.
