Kiki

Rescue:

There was a colony of cats found behind a manufacturing building in town. The colony had been
cared for by the staff, who fed them daily and even provided insulated cat houses for them. The
nice thing was that they were all friendly, but the sad thing was the colony was growing. A company
memo was sent out, saying that they had consulted with the city shelter who said to stop feeding
the cats. That is sad and wrong. Rescuing them is the answer. Coyotes were also running through
the area often and sometimes within ten feet of nearby humans. They definitely caused many of the
cats to disappear. The colony cats names all start with the letter K, and this includes Kiki. Pet Patrol
volunteers and the woman who was feeding the cats were braved the elements daily to ensure this
colony was looked after and brought into care.

Personality:

Kiki is a soft, sweet-hearted girl with the funniest little personality quirks. Her favourite thing in the world is pretending she’s a parrot, happily climbing onto your shoulder to perch and snuggle as close to her people as possible. She absolutely adores other cats and would thrive in a multi-cat household where she can cuddle, wrestle, and play with feline friends all day long. Kiki is also very food motivated and takes treat time quite seriously, often appearing with her gentle little meow right on schedule. When she’s not supervising every flying or crawling creature in the house, you’ll usually find her perched up high watching the world go by, batting around springs and balls, or curled up somewhere cozy. While she can be shy around visitors and prefers to hide when new people come over, once she trusts you, Kiki is incredibly affectionate and loving, often giving little licks during pets and melting completely into attention. Kiki is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
