Skylar

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received the following email message: “We’ve had a stray under our porch for a
few months. In last week’s heatwave we brought him inside. I understand the rescues are
pretty swamped this year, but I was wondering if you could help us find a way to get him
neutered or suggest how we can help him. I’ve called a couple of high volume vets but they
won’t take him without proving low income status. We’d consider fostering him as well; I
guess maybe we already are.” It is very helpful for rescues but more importantly for the
cat, to be brought indoors for safety and well being. Soon afterwards Skylar was neutered
and has thrived in his foster home.

Personality:

Skyler had never been inside a house before, let alone living with a family. But he loves it.
He is quite attached to the one nine year old child in the house and will curl up next to him
on the couch. He in general likes the company of people who will play with him by throwing
toys etc, and he will ask to play as well. As an active cat a buddy would be nice for him to
romp around with. He has settled in well and his rough exterior is diminishing as the comforts
of home sooth him. Skyler is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
