Rescue:
We don’t know where this handsome cat’s original home was, where he was born, but he
was given away for free. A man picked him up and drove him to his country property and
put him in his outdoor shed, when this kitten was just six or eight weeks old (too young to be
away from his mom). He wanted him to control the squirrels on the property. That would
have been an amazing feat for the most agile, athletic and incredibly intelligent cat to take
on a squirrel, and this kitten had no idea what was going on. A friend who came over one
day, to visit the man said that was no way to treat a kitten or even a cat and convinced him
to give up Jack. She wasn’t going to leave without the kitten under arm especially after she
noticed that the man had cut off Jack’s whiskers – a big no no. This fun loving little cat came
into Pet Patrol’s care soon afterwards.
Personality:
Jack is a really nice cat, who is great with people of all ages, outgoing and affectionate. He
will readily come to you when called, jump up on your lap and can easily be picked up into
your arms. He is such a love. Nothing gets past him that wiggles or rolls. He wants to know
what new thing you have brought into the house, and a cardboard box from groceries can
become a fun place to play or nap. He wants to be up high, especially on the kitty climber,
to see what is going on outside and in the house. A bird’s eye view. Jack is a wonderful cat
who is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors.
