Rescue:

A fellow co-worker brought a litter of kittens to the attention of one of our volunteers, during
a conversation. The babies were all orange and living underneath a trailer on a property
that had a lot of outbuildings. Being a supporter of rescuing cats, she was very interested in
helping these little ones grow up in a loving home environment and not a smei junk yard.
She was given the contact information and approached their caretaker. The man was very
hesitant at first to even talk to her, but when he realized she was a cat lover like he was, he
thought it was worth a chat. He feeds a colony of cats on his property and provides a large
heated trailer for shelter and gives them fresh food and water every day. All the cats have
good weight and clean coats but have never been to a vet. Now that the kittens are in our
care, we will be helping to have the mom and dad cat spayed and neutered to keep it a
controlled colony.

Personality:

Scottie (Scotland) is a very smart boy, who loves to sneak off and explore new places.
Always the first to try and escape to a new room with the help of his brother Samson. He
enjoys the occasional perch on the end of the base board of the bed, or a nap in the window
with one of his siblings. He can be timid at first, but after a few minutes he’s purring away,
chirping for more pets. He is excited for any toy that makes sound, the chirpy bird seems to
be a favourite. Otherwise he loves wrestling with his siblings and playing tag through a mesh
cat tunnel. Scottie is ready to be adopted into his forever home, preferably with his brother
Samson. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors
